When I start my car it is very hard to shift into 1st gear. When I shift into reverse it makes like a crunch noise. It kind of sees like the clutch isn't engaging all the way. I have replaced the master and slave cylinder. The clutch was replaced by a shop 3 months ago. If I'm coming to a stop light and rolling about 5mph I can shift into 1st gear very smoothly. If the car is off I can shift into all gears without any problem. Please help

If you can shift smoothly with the engine off, then the clutch isn't disengaging properly. Was the slave and clutch MC bleed?

Then suspect an internal clutch issue. Perhaps the pressure plate is weak.

Could the thrown out bearing be causing this? When I start the car up for the first time each day and leave it in 1st or reverse with the clutch pedal down for maybe 10 seconds or more, you can hear a whining noise. Soon as I shift back into neutral it stops. Usually it will only do it once a day the first time I sat it up. I've heard that even if a throw out bearing is making noise it can still function properly for quite a while.
When I'm in 1st gear, and the clutch pedal down and foot off the brake the car will slowly creep forward..

If it still wants to move with the clutch depressed, you should recheck the slave to make sure it is properly mounted and working. Something isn't allowing the clutch to fully disengage.
