Hey everyone,

The vehicle listed above is P12. I'm having an issue with my car and would appreciate any advice. When I turn the key, I can hear the starter motor spinning, but it suddenly cuts off, and the engine doesn't start. Immediately after that, I hear the sound of the central locking engaging.

If I keep the key in the "start" position without releasing it, the key in car warning light shows up on the instrument cluster. I've attached a video to give more details on the problem.

I'd be really grateful for any suggestions or insights into what might be causing this. Thanks in advance!

Here's the video.
PS. My key is not the OEM one, but it worked just fine, maybe that's the problem? I heard that there might be a problem with the battery, but it unlocks the car fine.

It sounds like the battery is dead. Thanks for the video, it helps. I would remove the battery and take it to the auto parts store where they can load test it for you, or you can go over this guide and video which can help as well:
