Pre safe functions limited messages

All of a sudden i get pre safe functions limited. i operative cruise, brake, ABS, and skid control lights all come in at once. Sometimes if I turn it off and on they go away but then come back any ideas?

We need to start with getting codes from the ABS to see what is there. More than likely we have an issue with one of the speed sensors or other ABS sensor issue. It is pretty typical for these lights to come on when a speed sensor has failed.

Just make sure when pulling codes that you use a scan tool that can communicate with the ABS module or it will return with no codes.

I got code p0500...lights are not there anymore and I cleared it for now, can you tell which abs sensor side this is based on the code?

The P0500 is a general speed sensor failure. Did you have a scan tool that communicates with the ABS and ESP system? More than likely you have more codes that gives a specific wheel that the issue is coming from.

Unfortunately without that info we won't know which wheel it is coming from. However, without it acting up you may not be able to get those codes if you already cleared them out. We will need to wait and see if they return.
