I just bought the car listed above but didn't check dash lights or radio. The guy said it needed a blower motor for the A/C. I put a new blower motor in a dimmer switch and checked all fuses on all 3 compartments and even tested all fuses with tester, but I have probably 70% of fuses with no power. So, no dash lights or instrument lights, no door light, no radio or A/C. The car runs great and has a misfire but other than that is fine any help could it be the BCM. The gauges and info lights work on dash but no nighttime lights.

Hi,

I'm not sure which fuses have no power, so here is what I suggest.

I attached the entire power distribution circuit wiring schematic below. What will often happen is the fuse you check with no power lost power due to a fuse upstream from it.

So, locate one fuse at a time that has no power. Locate the fuse on the wiring schematic and trace it back to the power supply. If it is a different fuse, check that fuse.

Let me know if this helps or if you have other questions.

Take care,

joe

See pics below. Note: The wiring schematic was two pages, but I had to cut each page in half to make them readable for you. I did overlap them so you can follow from one to the next.

I have a hard time reading the diagram. Is there a relay that could be bad so I can get a list of all fuses that don't work?

Hi Jay,

This doesn't sound like a relay issue. If there were one or two fuses, it could be a fuse after a relay, but in most cases, the fuse is what powers the relay. Since there is no power to 70%, the likelihood of a relay issue just doesn't make sense.

Can you let me know which fuses have no power? I'll try going through things for you to see if I can find a relationship.

For some reason, the only fuse box identified is the one under the hood. I attached it below if you need it.

Let me know.

Joe

#55, 46, and 47 which I know run the HVAC. I have power to all fuses on driver's side but none to any fuses on passenger side but checked the red wire going to fuse box and have power going into fuse box. My dimmer module works but still no instrument lights, radio, or A/C.

Hi,

I attached two pics below from the wiring schematic. Pic 1 shows the right-hand side fuse box. The power supply should be an orange wire. Is that correct?

If it is, power is coming from the ignition switch. See pic 2.

If there is power at the orange wire but nothing to the fuses, there has to be a break in the orange wire to the fuse box or the fuse box is bad.

Let me know. Also, keep in mind the key needs to be in the run position for power to be present in the fuse box.

Let me know if the wire you checked is red or orange. It can be difficult to tell.

Take care,

joe

So, with the ignition switch on which seems hard to turn at times I checked the power at the back side of fuse box the only wire that has power is a red wire but nothing to the rest.

Hi,

If the red wire has power, it sounds like the fuse box has failed. The other wires are powered out from fuses. Are you able to find any of the fuse locations in the box with power?

Let me know and I hope you had a nice 4th,

Joe

So, my car doesn't have any instrument light my radio and A/C don't work. I replaced the dimmer switch on dash and put new blower motor in. None of the fuses are blown and I have power coming into fuse box. I've tested all wires to all components but just not getting any luck. Could it be the dimmer switch under dash or something else?

Hi Jim, if there is power to the fuse box but nothing has power in the box, I suspect the fuse box itself is faulty. Am I correct this is what is happening?

Let me know.
