Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros.

If the pump is the only part that is bad, you shouldn't need anything else except power steering fluid. Since the serpentine belt will be off to remove the pump, confirm it is in good condition because now will be the time to replace it if needed.

Here are the directions for pump replacement. The attached pictures correlate with the directions.

Hi:
The pulley is removable from the old one. You will need a special puller that most parts stores will lend or rent to you. However, if the pump is new, it should already have one installed. You will have to check the pump when you get it. If there are no leaks and everything appears to be in good condition, then you should be fine. There is an o-ring on the high pressure line that goes to the pump that you should replace, but if the old one is good, it should still be fine.

Honestly, the old pump comes out and the new one is installed. If there are no prior issues, you should be fine. Again, if the new pump doesn't come with the pulley, you will need to get a puller to remove the pulley from the old pump and install it on the new one.

At any time, feel free to get in touch with me if you run into trouble.

Take care,
Joe
