My book says I need to disconnect the catalytic converter, rear O2 wiring harness, and shift the exhaust back and left out of the way.
Is this all necessary to get the pump and lines out?

Yep, it looks that way, the pump is on the rear of the engine so there is limited room. Here are the instructions to remove the power steering pump step by step featured in the images below. Check out the images (below). Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem.

The 4 bolts attaching the catalytic converter to the manifold, are they nutted or do they bolt in by thread in the manifold? I have never worked on it so have no idea even though a bigger shop did to replace a warped manifold (4 bolts w/flat washers). Making sure I have everything before lifting the car onto axle stands and crawling under it in an outdoor shop.

Attaching the catalytic converter to the manifold is a nut and stud arrangement. Let me know how to goes. Spray WD40 on the mounting nuts before you begin.
