Power steering pump pulley

I have been trying to get the power steering pump pulley on for about a month now and I have the special kit for it, but the pulley wont go on and I think it is because the bolt that goes into the shaft is running out of threads. what should I do?

Can you post a picture of the tool your using? I have never had a problem putting a GM power steering pump pulley on with my installing tool.
