My power steering steers like a Mac truck. The right-hand turn is even harder than the left-hand turn to make but they both steer like there is no power steering at all. So far this is what we have tried to repair/replace in an effort to fix the steering. We first replaced the power steering pump with a used one from a junkyard. (Couldn’t afford a new one). Then we noticed that the CV axles were bad and replaced with new ones. Then we tried putting the original power steering pump back on. It still steers like a Mac truck. Help!

Good morning, ALEX FERENCZ,

Any noises when steering or fluid leaks?

Also, do you have any lights on the dash?

Any change in tire size or do you have the original tire size? What about your tires condition? Do any of them have more tread than the others, especially on the right side?

Is your vehicle equipped with a Traction Control System?

Thank you,
Brendon
