Power steering leak?

142,000 MILES • 3.4L • AUTOMATIC

I have a 06 Cadillac CTS with 142,000 miles. I was told my rack and pinion is leaking and power steering fluid is low. It’s leaking out a lot because I can see it on my garage floor. Can I use a stop leak product to help with this temporarily until I’m able to get this fixed?

Yep, I would give it a shot you have nothing to lose at this point. Also, can you please upload a short video or image so I can see where it is leaking from? It might be a hose which stop leak may not help but I will know more once I see it.

I will give it a try and see what happens. The mechanic provided me with this image he took from the inspection.

Yep, that does look like the rack is leaking though I would not mind a top view of the rack so was can look at the hoses.

Ok, that’s the only image they took.
I’ll have to see if I can find someone to do that for me.
