Hard steering. I assume these have a power not hydraulic power steering. Have codes: p1457, u100, u110B

This vehicle uses an electric-hydraulic power steering pump. It is not a normal belt-driven power steering pump. If the steering is hard, the first things I would check are the power steering fluid level/condition. The P1457 code is usually an EVAP/emissions-related code, so it is probably not the cause of the hard steering so please start a new question for this. The U-codes, especially if one of them is actually U0100, which means lost communication with the engine control module so please check all fuses first. Do you have a battery light on? If the system has low voltage this can cause the issues as well. Here is a video to help you check the fuses.
