At what speed does the power steering system cut off steering assist?

Good morning.

The steering always provides steering assist. It assists as soon as the steering wheel is moved.

Because I had heard that as you get up to speed, the power steering lets off bit by bit.

That is inaccurate information. the assist is always provided as soon as the wheel is turned.
