Hey MERCYILL,
Was the system run with a low/empty fluid level?
Did the power steering fail and the the leak was found after?
If the leaking hose caused the pump to to be run dry you potentially have an issue with the pump itself.
I would also check that you have the correct amount of washers on the fittings for the new pipe. If they are a banjo bolt fitting and you are missing a washer/ to large of a washer you could have a restriction there. Removing the pipe, blowing through it to ensure it is clear and checking your fittings would be a good idea. Making sure the new pipe has not been kinked when installing also.
With the engine running looking into the fluid reservoir is there any movement showing fluid is circulating?
