Power steering pulley?

Does it matter if the old power steering pully was plastic and the new one is metal? Tried moving pully from flush to line up but there isn't enough offset on metal pulley.

Hi,

There is a special tool that is required to install the pulley on this vehicle. As far as it being metal or plastic, as long as it is designed for the vehicle, it shouldn't make any difference.

I attached directions showing the pulley and how to reinstall it. Take a look and let me know if this is what you are doing. Also, it really helps to warm the pulley so that it expands. It makes installation much easier.
