Hi,

I did hear it. To me, it sounds like it may be low on fluid. Although this vehicle has electric power steering, there is still fluid in the system.

I attached directions below for checking the PS fluid. It is a little bit of a pain, but it can be done.

Note: If this is an SRT model, these directions are not correct. Let me know if that is the case.

Take care,

joe

And the fluid seems to be where it needs to be.

Hi,

Sorry for the delay. I wanted to get clarification on my thoughts of the sound before contacting you.

Both the site owner and I feel this is the electric P/S motor that is making the noise. It is referred to as the EHPS, electrohydraulic power steering pump.

I attached two pics below of its location. Confirm that this is where the noise is coming from and let me know what you find.

Take care,

Joe

I don’t know if this was normal but as it warms up it gets stiff to turn and I thought about changing the fluid out and flushing it and putting new in.

Hi,

The heat is affecting the performance. The pump likely needs replaced, but flushing/changing the fluid is a good inexpensive way to try and eliminate the issue. I'm just not sure it will resolve the problem.

Let me know.

Joe

Hi,

It does look like the rubber bushing is starting to fail. You should likely replace it while you have things apart.

Let me know if I can help and how things turn out for you.

Take care,

Joe
