Power loss, inconsistent idle?

I just received an import car, which was sitting on the boat for 1month. It's a Nissan Serena 2013, 138000km. In park the engine idles by itself up and down and when driving, it runs smoothly until you hit over 2,000 RPMs then the engine loses almost all power and starts to rev up and down again. Thank you for your assistance.

Hi,

This model isn't offered in the US, so I don't have the specifics. However, what you described sounds like it is related to the idle air control valve (IAC).

The IAC is what maintains a smooth idle speed. When it goes up and down as you mentioned, the IAC is usually the cause.

Take a look through this link for a better description:

I would start by trying to service it. Here is a link that explains how it's done:

Let me know if that helps.

Take care,

Thank you so much for your answer. I had a readout done and it's a sensor related to the airflow control which we will replace.
