Hello, I was wondering what it would mean if my brother replaced my starter and battery, but the car still won't start. It stopped on me due to overheating I guess and it was smoking. He said oil leaked into my engine but I'm still not sure what to do.

Hello,

The best check to do is to conduct a compression test.
This could then point to a possible mechanical issue with the engine

Expect to see 150-160Psi on each cylinder for good compression readings.

Cheers, Boris
