I noticed this near the wheel of my truck, it is garage parked and has not been driven for awhile. What could this be?

Where is the corrosion? We need information and perhaps an image would be great. Front or rear wheel? Steering wheel?

Hello,
It looks to me like it may have had some mud get packed up in the bump stop and has probably dried out and fell out. Maybe the bump stop itself deteriorated and crumbled?
It's hard to say for sure from the pictures. Does it have any kind of texture? Is it greasy or dry? Any smell?

It has not been driven in a year, but I went out and started it for battery purposes. I know it was not there the last time I checked. I’ll go check it for texture and smell after work and respond again.
