I bought the car listed above and the positive cable was the one running off the driver's side fender. The other cable went to the lower part of the motor. I was wondering if it was hooked up properly or backwards? The guy I bought it from told me it was a positive ground? I've never heard of such thing. Any ideas if this is true or not?

Hello,

The battery cable that is coming from the engine block is the negative battery cable. If it was the positive battery cable it would be welding itself to the engine block. There is no such thing as a positive ground cable.

Thanks,
Alex
