1987 Other Porsche Models valve chatter once in a blue moon

one every few weeks i will start the car and get a loud tap tap tap from the cams . if i shut it off or allow it to idle for awhile it will go away. the motor is the 2.5 d.o.h.c version.

it sounds like you got weak lifters, considering the mileage, when is the last time you had your valves adjusted?
