1984 Other Porsche Models transmission won't get out of gear

Transmission problem
1984 Other Porsche Models 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual

It's a racecar, we attempted to put in a different transmission but swapped out the fifth gear from the old one we got it back on but now we cannot get it to change gear or even get it into neutral, what do i do?

What I would do is remove the shifter boot take out the shifter shaft look inside the transmission and see if you've got it jammed into gears and so the bar and try to get it out of gear manually make sure you have the clutch in whild you are going to do that
