2000 Porsche Boxster Car not starting, and then starting af

If the oil is bad or the wrong kind, will the value covers stick open, or let the oil out so that the car will not start without trying to turn it over a couple times, then it starts and misses a bit, and then it runs perfect.

your valve cover shouldnt "stick" open... it is bolted to the head of the engine. And your valves would only stick if there wasnt enough oil pressure to pump up the lifters. Or if dirt was getting in between the lifter and pushrods.
