Engine Mechanical problem
1983 Porsche 944 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive 87000 miles

i connected my test meter after disconnecting the battery and all wires from the coil. meter set to ohms, when connected to the side terminals of the coil i read .8 ohms. when i use 1 side terminal and the high output, center terminal i only get 6.9. your test method says i should read 10,000-11,000. am i supposed to re-connect the battery before this test?
