Ignition switch doesn't want to release key, when the engine is running the lights, windshield wipers and AC will not work. When I turn off the ingition switch the lights, windshield and AC do work.

When I remove the key with a strong pull the dashboard information states "key in ignition".

What is the problem.

Try lubricating the ignition lock cylinder with WD40 and also use a spare key. If this doesn't help then the ignition switch will most likely need replaced.
