the insulation between the interior and the motor of my 85 targa is breaking down and rotting. it it like 2 rubber mats with foam rubber in between. the purpose of it is to reduce the noise and heat from entering the interior. the car being 24 years old, the foam rubber is falling apart. how do i replace/repair without dropping the engine. it is very difficult to get to.

Hi there,

There are Porsche on line stores that have this product still, but the engine will have to be removed to do the job properly.
