I need to know why when accelerating or braking and going slow and take a turn usually results in my car making some weird popping sound in what sounds like the front left part of the car maybe underneath. I don't what it is.

Hi,

There are a few things that can cause a popping sound. For example, a bad ball joint, worn bushings in shock mounts, but most commonly, a sway bar mount or the connecting links become worn or loose and generate a banging, popping, or rattling sound.

Take a look at this link:

Since a ball joint can be dangerous, what I suggest is to lift one front wheel at a time. Place your hands on the tire at 3 and 9 o'clock and wiggle to see if there is play. Do the same by placing your hands at 6 and 12 o'clock to check ball joints.

Try this and let me know what you find.

Take care,

Joe
