Popping and thumping noise coming from under the vehicle?

Under driver side floor there is a loud popping or thumping noise. Anything I can do to narrow down or help my question be answered?

This could be a number of things but if you can get a recording of it that would be helpful. Here is a guide that will help with this:

Does this noise happen when moving or turning? More then likely this is a driveshaft or rotating component that is binding but hearing it will really help narrow it down.
