Pop noise, possible axle issue?

i had my axle replaced because it was worn. my axles have been replaced but when i put the truck in reverse while engine is running no movement fine .i give it gas i hear a pop up front only in reverse it does it once then no more i would say it sounded like an axle, but they all been replaced what could still make it pop like that?

They replaced the rear axles? Was one broken? You may have a spider gear inside the differential that has let go. To be sure, have a helper put the truck in gear with their foot on the brake while you look under the truck, if the rear driveshaft spins, then the differential is to blame.

spider gear is locked in the back. Also, the pop was caused by brakes getting hot needing new lines. thanks, i appreciate your response!
