My 2007 Pontiac Vibe consistently got 31 miles per gallon. The check engine light came on. I brought the car to the dealership. They said I hadn't put the gas cap on tight enough. 2 or 3 tanks of gas later my mpg dropped to 27. Then the check engine light came on again. I brought the car back to the dealership. They replaced the "main computer". They said it had an erroneous error. Fuel ecconomy did not improve. I called and they told me to put 4 tanks of fuel throught it and then see if it improved. After the forth tank it was at 24 mpg. I brought it in and they said the new computer needed to be reset. They did that and again told me to put 4 tanks of fuel through it. After the first tank 25 mpg. second tank 27 mpg. Third tank 28mpg. Forth tank 25 mpg. My driving has not changed. The dealership always has an answer yet the problem does not get resolved....??? Any ideas??
