I have a trouble code (P1692 Coolant Gage Circuit High Voltage). Does this mean it's the coolant temperature censor gone bad?

Many cars have two senders, one for the PCM (coolant temp sender) and one for gauge (coolant temp gauge sensor).

Check with Pontiac and see if you have a coolant gauge temp sender, if so replace it, if not replace coolant temp sensor.
