starting the ignition turns over the engine OK but sometimes it koncks out unless you feather the gas a little.
It cranks over OK so I figure the starter is good, but Mr. Lube said that the battery has low cranking amps.

Should I change the battery or do I need new plugs & wires?

Why don't you clean out the idle air control valve and see what happens
