1998 Pontiac Transport 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

Hi. my van will turn over but I believe it is not getting any fuel. I bought a different fuel pump. Is the fuel pump suppose to pump when you turn on your key? Or how can you check to see if it is bad?

Do you hear the fuel pump come on for 2 secs when you turn key to run if so check the fuel pressure if its within specs if so check the injectors if its pulsing.

If not could be the fuel pump fuse or the fuel pump relay
