1984 Pontiac Trans Am Stalls at idle

Engine Performance problem
1984 Pontiac Trans Am V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I have E4ME carb and the car won't idle. Don't have a code light lid. Adjusted TPS to .48 volts and M/C to 35 to 40 dwell, 3 1/2 turn out on idle mixtures.
Runs while cold idle but dies when put in gear unless I give it more gas.

Hi, if this is a high-mileage engine, you'll never get it to idle in drive, the way it does in park. Of course there could be other issues causing your problem? I didn't look at the carb specs on your vehicle, or idle specs.
