When i drive my ponitac sunfire 2003, when i hit the gas at a complete stop and start to speed up it feels like my whole car just bang hard against something! i dont know if its from my trans or motor?? what can this be??

Auto or Manual transmission.

When the noise happens what does the car do performance wise.

In nuetral, with the hood open and someone watching the engine brake rev the engine and see if there is execessive movement
