2005 Pontiac Sunfire Back Up Lights

The back up lights aren't working. The bulbs and the fuze are good. I am at a loss for what is wrong. The only thing that I can think of is that there might be a short in the system some place.

Your Sunfire is equipped with a switch that controls the back-up lamps. From what you have described, this switch has failed, leaving the back-up lamp circuit permanently open (not working). You will need to replace your vehicle's back-up lamp switch, located on the left rear of the transaxle.
