2002 Pontiac Sunfire Sideview mirror replacement

Hello all, could anyone tell me how to replace a sideview mirror on a 2002 Pontiac Sunfire. I have had people tell me that you have to take the door apart, and I have had others tell me you do not. Could anyone help me out? thank you much.

You just have to remove the trianguler trim piece on the door. I think it is held on by one screw. Then you will see the noise insulator. Just pull that out to revile the 3 bolts that hold the mirror on. remove those three nuts and pull the mirror out. You will have to disconnect the electrical plug if it has power mirrors. It shouldn't be to hard of a task...
