2001 Pontiac Sunfire Turn signal does not work

On my 2001 sunfire the turn signal stop working, when I turn the switch, the light on the dash comes on once and then off, does not flash. Same for both sides.

Suspect faulty flasher unit. Flasher is located in front seating area, driver side, under dash, mounted on top of brake pedal.
