2001 Pontiac Sunfire Knocking

Noises problem
2001 Pontiac Sunfire Four Wheel Drive Automatic 70,000 miles

When I'm at a stop I hear this knocking sound coming from the right side. The car will some times stop on me. I have had a tune up, oil changes are regular, and starter was replaced.

Have you raised hood and listened to noise? If you could locate an area it would help.Does noise go away when engine speed is increased?
Is there a check engine light on?
When is shuts off does it restart?
