2001 Pontiac Sunfire bd fuel mileage

I just did a tune up in august 2008 0only put on about 15000km and now seem to be getting bad fuel milage use to get about a 180km per quarter tank now only getting about 120km I put two o2 sensors top of the line boots and plugs just did the oil change and fuel filter also the crank sensor also the tps sensor any ideas thank you

Hi:
It sounds like you replaced a lot. Have you had the computer scanned for codes? Have that done at a nationally recognized parts store. Most will do it for free. Also, because of the mileage on the car, it could be caused by a decrease in engine compression.

Let me know what you find with the engine codes.

If everything is working properly, the only thing left to do is check engine compression. If it has dropped, it could cause a decrease in MPG. If you decide to check it, let me know what you find.

This engine was re placed in 2007 and only had 91000km so now it has 156000km and is a 2002 engine the head was redone at that time also this car was just etested here in canada and passed with flying colours it rated on the etest at almost new with the levels. Even the etest people were surprised for its age it always gets regular service for oil changes and filters and is never short on power thank you
