I cant figure out why the drivers side door will work when you lock it but it wont open with either the interior switch or the remote. Doesnt the motor just use reverse polarity to do both functions?

Also the trunk lid actuator has stopped working from the remote?

Any help is much appreciated.

There is a set of contacts inside the locking solenoid that have to be made in order for the door to lock/unlock. These contacts are non-serviceable so the unit would have to be changed.
For the trunk latch. Check to see if you are getting 12 volts to the trunk release solenoid when the switch is activated. If yes, the latch unit is bad.
