2000 Pontiac Sunfire brake lights

I would like to find out why my brake lights do not work i repalced the bulbs cleaned the connetion add di a light greese.check the fuse .also the high mount light still works but the tail lights do not work when you push on the brake pedal. tail lights work when you turn on the head lights. i tested the brake light switch undr the dash but it is working properly so please help .

Sounds like you have a faulty ground. Double check the ground connections at the tail lights as well as at the brake light switch and the headlamp switch.
