1999 Pontiac Sunfire Clutch Problems

1999 Pontiac Sunfire 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual 140000 kms

A few weeks ago i noticed my car was starting to rev at higher RPM's before it would start to move an earlier this week i pretty much had to floor it to make it home. now it sits in my driveway unable to move. there is pressure in the clutch although it has been leaking fluid, an still switches in an out of gears it just wont move... any help would be great.... thanks

HI there,

sounds as if the clutch has totally failed, if you have good pedal pressure the hydraulics should be ok, you may have stripped a clutch lining off, the box will have to be removed to inspect this problem.
