1998 Pontiac Sunfire How do you bleed the cooling system

I changed the thermostat and water pump. It still running hot. however when I sit and idle it starts to cool off. The heater blows cool air. I want to bleed the cooling system however I don't know the procedure please help

Check on the thermostat housing. I believe the bleeder is there.
