Bought used from private individual. Only one key - does this car require a key with chip - How do I duplicate if only one key

1998 Pontiac Sunfire does this car have chip in ingnition k

None of the Pontiac Sunfires' or Chevy Cavaliers were outfitted with the anti-theft systems. You can duplicate the key at any key shop or outlet, like Ace Hardware.
