I turned my car on and it blew black smoke and the reves went to 5, should I be concerned, it did it only once.

Hi Jean
No if only once i wouldn,t worry several things could cause this.a bad convertor a map sensor bad spark plugs. until it is worse it would be hard to find. goodluck billymac
