1998 Pontiac Sunfire A/C LEAK

FREON LEAK IN A/C SYSTEM, THE SYSTEM WORKS GREAT FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS AFTER BEING RECHARGED, USED A DYE BUT COULD NOT SEE A LEAK, I HAVE EVEN PUT A STOP LEAK IN THE SYSTEM AND IT STILL LEAKS OUT, WHAT ELSE COULD I DO OR WHAT COULD BE THE PROBLEM?

Hi there,

with this type of problem an electronic refrigerant "sniffer" will be needed, as the leak my be in the evaporator and you will not see it, but the sniffer will detect the refrigerant in the vents. Try this.

A "sniffer" is too expensive, would assuming that the evaporator is the problem a safe bet

Hi there,

If you have added leak detector to the system, you will see it when you start to access the evaporator. So I think that you will be on the right track if there are no other leaks.
