Just bought a 1997 Pontiac Sunfire for my daughter. She sometimes hears a noise coming from the rear whenver she goes over certain bumps, but not all the time. Any idea what this might be?

is it a knocking sound or a thumping sound? could be strut mounts causing it. Can you get me more info

It's a hard squeeking sound that is not high pitched. Doesn't happen with every bump, just sometimes.
