Steering problem
1997 Pontiac Sunfire Engine Size unknown Wheel Drive Type unknown Automatic 69000 miles

When ever I'm driving and I tilt the steering wheel to the right, for example just to change lanes, I hear a loud noise underneath the car and only happens when I tilt the wheel slightly to the right, what do you think the problem is?

your problem is a hub bearing. very common and you are describing it perfectly. which side can sometimes be confusing. its either the left or right front usually.
