1997 Pontiac Sunfire gas

i have a 97 pontiac sunfire with 178000 miles the #2 injector broke and the motor filled with gas i change the injector and flushed the motor out about 5 times with oil about 1000 miles later the motor blew up would the motor filling up with gas that one time cause that or is it something else

You have about 180k on a GM 4 cylinders
any thing is possible at this point you don’t need gas in the engine to brake it on you
