my car alternater went and its a 98 sunfire can an alternater fit from a 97 sunfire my girlfriend has i ran the alternater test on bolth cars hers is good mine is not i used her battery in my car becouse mine wentand now i want to use her alternater will that work

If they both have the same engine it should work but there were 2 different 4 cylinder engines available for both of those cars.
