1993 Pontiac Sunbird Flasher unit location

I have a 1993 Skylark and the flasher unit has failed. I have a new one but I can't locate the old one. I have found the emergency flasher unit but it is nearly impossible to get to. Where is the regular flasher unit located and hoe do I get to it?
